Nestled at the Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, Barn Star Events is a unique, historic and sophisticated wedding venue with all modern conveniences to make your perfect day … perfect. We are blessed to be in one of the most beautiful and seasonal of all places on earth. Barn Star Events is set in the heart of Jonathan Valley at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains. We are near where the National Park at Cataloochee overlooks us to the north and Maggie Valley to the west. We are right on Highway 276 which is directly off Interstate I-40, Exit 20 in North Carolina.

Our barn has been in the Boyd family since being built-in the 1940’s. Barn owner, Brian Boyd, visualized to revitalize this working barn into a wedding venue. Barn Star Events opened in the summer of 2017 and is a family ran and operated business. Barn Star Events boasts stained concrete floors, in-house restrooms, bridal suite, Groom’s den, kitchen staging area, lighting and sound. However, we still keep all the beauty of an authentic barn. Adding to the barn’s architecture, are family relics in the catwalk and walls that bring heritage, beauty and romance.

Garrett Creek runs between our barn and our ceremony site. A beautiful custom rhododendron branch bridge connects the barn property to the ceremony field. It also makes a beautiful walk for each bride. Our property’s flat acres offers convenient parking and wide open space. Your wedding guests will have ease and accessibility to your beautiful event. We are an authentic rustic barn specifically for weddings in the Waynesville & Maggie Valley area of North Carolina in Haywood County. 30 minutes west of Asheville directly from I-40, exit 20 on Jonathan Creek Road. Right over the mountain, is the historic and beautiful Lake Junaluska.
